Accessibility Guide for H5P Speak the Words Set

Important Reminders

This activity requires that users have the ability to speak.  Users who are without speech or who have difficulty speaking may require an alternative activity.

Provide users with instructions that describe the Retry and Show solution icons for users who require magnification.

H5P hides the activity score from assistive technology.  Users of screen reading software may not be able to tell their score.

Visible Indication of Focus

The activity buttons have a visible indication of focus.

Color Contrast

The visible indication of focus has good contrast.  The activity has good color contrast.

Keyboard Usability

The activity is usable with the keyboard.

No Keyboard Traps

There are no keyboard traps.

Magnification

The activity supports both magnification up to 200% and reflow of content with magnification up to 400% without a loss of content or functionality and without requiring horizontal scrolling.  The Retry and Show solution button text is not visible at 200% or 400% and the tooltips for the buttons do not magnify, but the icons do.

Usability with Screen Reading Software

The activity is usable with screen reading software.  However, the activity score is not announced by screen reading software.
