Important Reminders
Some users may find the automatic sliding to the next flashcard distracting or disruptive and may require an alternative version of the activity. Provide instructions for users describing that after answering a question the activity automatically moves to the next flashcard.
Use best practices for content authoring, including:
- Add alt-text descriptions up to 150 characters for meaningful images
- use good color contrast for meaningful visual information in images.
Users who require good color contrast may need to be provided with an alternative activity.
Users who require magnification up to 400% may need to be provided with an alternative activity.
Visible Indication of Focus
The activity buttons and form fields have a visible indication of focus.
Color Contrast
The visible indication of focus does not have good contrast. Users who require a visible indication of focus with more contrast may use assistive technology. Most of the activity text, buttons, and form fields do not have good color contrast.
Keyboard Usability
The activity is usable with the keyboard. H5P does not provide an option to stop the flashcards from automatically advancing after a user answers a question. Users should be informed that Tip buttons come after the Check answer buttons in the page reading order.
No Keyboard Traps
There are no keyboard traps.
Magnification
Content magnifies up to 200% using browser settings without loss of content or functionality. The Correct and Incorrect text overlaps longer answer text when magnified up to 400%. The Check answer button text is not visible at 400% and the tooltip for the button does not magnify.
An alternative version of the content should be included that supports magnification up to 400% without requiring horizontal scrolling to view content and interact with content.
Usability with Screen Reading Software
The activity is usable with screen reading software. In Results, H5P does not include accessible labels for the icons that identify correct and incorrect answers. Instructions should be provided to users that incorrect answers are labeled with the text "A:" and include the correct answer, while correct answers are only labeled with the text "A:".
