Important Reminders

Use best practices for content authoring, including:

  • Add alt-text descriptions up to 150 characters for meaningful images
  • Use good color contrast for meaningful visual information in images
  • Add headings to content
  • When using lists, use correctly structured lists.

Users who require magnification up to 200% or up to 400% may require a alternative version of the content or instructions about the meaning of the Export text and Select all text icons.

Users of screen reading software may require an alternative version of the activity.

Visible Indication of Focus

The activity buttons and form fields have a visible indication of focus.

Color Contrast

The visible indication of focus has good contrast.  The visible indication of focus is a thin black line.  Users who require a visible indication of focus with more contrast may use assistive technology.

Keyboard Usability

The activity is usable with the keyboard.

No Keyboard Traps

There are no keyboard traps.

Magnification

When content magnifies up to 200% using browser settings, in Create Document, the text labels for the Export text and Select all text are not visible and the tooltip text does not magnify.  Additionally, the Goal Ratings radio buttons overlap goal text when magnified up to 400%.  Users who require magnification up to 200% or up to 400% may require a alternative version of the content or instructions about the meaning of the Export text and Select all text icons.

Usability with Screen Reading Software

The activity is usable with screen readings software.  H5P labels the Remove button for goals as the goal text, not "Remove goal" and a specific goal number.  H5P allows the keyboard focus to move out of the Read More pop-ups while the pop-ups are still open, which could confuse users of screen reading software.  H5P does not label the radio buttons for Goal Ratings by the specific goal.  Users of screen reading software may require an alternative version of the activity.
