Important Reminders
H5P does not provide an option to stop the countdown animation at the beginning of the activity. There is also no option to stop, pause, or hide the automatically updating timer that is part of the activity. Some users may find the countdown animation and the timer distracting or disruptive and may require an alternative version of the activity. Provide instructions for users that describe the animation and auto-updating content.
Provide instructions for users indicating that once an answer option is selected, the answer is submitted and cannot be changed.
Users who require magnification up to 400% may need to be provided with an alternative activity.
Visible Indication of Focus
The Start quiz button, the radio button answers, and the Retry button have a visible indication of focus.
Color Contrast
The visible indication of focus has good contrast.
Keyboard Usability
The activity is usable with the keyboard. To use the activity with the keyboard, users must navigate the answer options for questions with arrow keys before selecting an answer. As soon as a radio button for an answer option is selected, the answer is submitted. The Down and Right arrow keys move forward through the answer options. The Up and Left arrow keys move backwards through the answer options. Before answering a question, the activity content does not support scrolling with the keyboard. To scroll content using the keyboard, users may use Tab or Shift + Tab to move keyboard focus out of the question and answer area of the activity.
No Keyboard Traps
There are no keyboard traps.
Magnification
Content magnifies up to 200% using browser settings without loss of content or functionality. Longer answer options are obscured when content is magnified up to 400%. An alternative version of the content should be included that supports magnification up to 400% without requiring horizontal scrolling to view content and interact with content.
Usability with Screen Reading Software
The activity is usable with screen reading software. Users of screen reading software may navigate the answer options for questions with arrow keys before selecting an answer. As soon as a radio button for an answer option is selected, the answer is submitted. The Down and Right arrow keys move forward through the answer options. The Up and Left arrow keys move backwards through the answer options. Screen reading software announces the correct answer and the score for the activity after each question is answered.
