Important Reminders
The activity may be usable if:
- An optional description for each image is not included
- A brief alt-text description (150 characters maximum) and hover text for each image are included
- Labels for the images are set to not be displayed.
However, many images would require a longer description that cannot be added to the activity without making the reading order of the activity content unusable with screen reading software. Provide an alternative version of the activity that includes detailed text descriptions for meaningful visual information and accurate content reading order.
Users who require magnification up to 400% may need to be provided with an alternative activity.
Visible Indication of Focus
The slider button has a visible indication of focus.
Color Contrast
The visible indication of focus for the slider button has good color contrast.
Keyboard Usability
The activity is usable with the keyboard. The slider button works with arrow keys.
No Keyboard Traps
There are no keyboard traps.
Magnification
Content magnifies up to 200% using browser settings without loss of content or functionality. The image content does not magnify up to 400%.
An alternative version of the content should be included that supports magnification up to 400% without requiring horizontal scrolling to view content and interact with content.
Usability with Screen Reading Software
The activity is not usable with screen reading software. The reading order of the content is not logical because H5P incorrectly adds the optional description for the image (visible as a text caption) as an aria-label for the image in addition to the alt-text description for the image. JAWS may announce the optional description for an image other than the image that is displayed, which could confuse users.
